chain reaction

neil-patrick-harris.jpgthat episode of the office titled “gay witch hunt” wasn’t far off the mark. the latest celeb to be pushed out of the closet is neil patrick harris - a.k.a. doogie howser - who currently stars on a the sitcom how i met your mother.

ever since lance bass, people have been coming out left and right - whether they wanted to or not (like that guy from grey’s anatomy).

i do think this is a good thing, even if it might hurt one’s job prospects (though i don’t really think we’ve seen that lately)… because i really believe that the more openly gay role models we have out there, the more likely we are to attain that seemingly unreachable goal of acceptance.

good luck to neil and his boyfriend! i’ll be rooting for his relationship and career. i just have one question - why the fuck does everyone come out to people magazine?

People clearly has a monopoly on the closet.

Celebs always make revelations to People because the magazine is considered credible, unlike the tabloids.

So when gay celebs have a revelation, they go to People as well.

However, announcing you’re gay isn’t the same as saying you’re getting divorced, so celebs could seriously out themselves anywhere, to any media or outlet. They just STILL choose People.

People is definitely in with the gays.

Doogie Howser MD was the subject of many of my childhood mastubatory fantasies. I somehow had it in my head that the doctor was an insatiable bottom.
