the british indie rocker has hesitantly come out of the closet after speculation arose surrounding the lyrics of the band’s new single, “i still remember” - a track that explores same-sex attraction among heteros. not exactly the most subtle subject matter for someone on the down low, but maybe he was sick of the charade.
for some reason, i doubt this was for publicity purposes (the band’s new album, a weekend in the city, comes out next month) - if anything, kele’s revelation could hurt the band’s prospects. in actuality, i doubt it will really affect things… well, i suppose now out magazine will be following the band a bit more closely.
