perhaps this new ash song will be a grower. “you can’t have it all” is their new single, and it’s adequate, i suppose, but it hardly ranks among their finest (ie “girl from mars,” “a life less ordinary, “shining light,” etcetera).
perhaps much like the dearly departed charlotte hatherley (she’s not dead, mind you, she’s just left the band!), they still haven’t adjusted. regardless, i’m hoping this was merely a “record company mistake” when they chose which track would be serve as their “triumphant return.” we shall see.
