much as i love canadian indie goddess emily haines, her solo material and her role in broken social scene just don’t compare to the brilliance of her main gig, metric.

here’s the second video for “empty,” my favorite track off live it out, which was shot to promote the single’s european release (the puppet-themed first video didn’t really do the song justice). this time around, much of the chaos goes in reverse, so just like the song, at the end everything seems peaceful. it’s pretty satisfying, actually. after whetting my appetite with this new clip, my big hope is that the band hurries up with their next album…
