the lovely and talented cardigans frontwoman appears on the new manic street preachers single, “your love alone is not enough.” after the manics’ last album, the relatively low-key lifeblood, the track marks a return to the band’s trademark form of up-tempo melancholy. not surprisingly, it’s their catchiest single in a while, even if the lyrics aren’t so upbeat.
