i just came across this very interesting segment from 60 minutes called “gay or straight.” it explores the theories and ideas surrounding how someone might become homo vs. heterosexual. one of my favorite bits features 9-year-old adam, a self-proclaimed girly man with a penchant for nail polish and unicorns — kinda like the little boy on fx’s the riches. adam is absolutely adorable, and better still, he’s completely unapologetic about the way he is.
another fun fact? only 2 percent of elder male children turn out to be gay. as the oldest of my siblings, i guess that means i overcame the odds! on the flipside, the segment also said the more older brothers you have, the more likely you are to be queer. my husband stoney is the youngest of four boys. haha!
