
kids these days try so hard to be unique. but thanks to myspace, we now see that teens around the globe who claim to be “individuals” are really just carbon copies of each other. check out the patterns from above (via demonbaby): sullen expression, sweeping bangs, obscured vision. it must be so tough these days to be a suburban white kid! at least now they have a place online where they can exchange makeup tips.
i originally found this image on the myspace page of a bar/music venue here in nashville called the 5 spot. only the caption underneath guided the aforementioned pouty brats to an “emo” hangout across town: “keep this at rocketown. please! do not even ask to play here.” funny as it may be, there’s a harrowing fact lurking beneath… these kids are our future.
