i know some people like them large and in charge, but i’m not sure this was necessary.

super-lesbo beth ditto graces the cover of british indie rag nme this week. her band, the gossip, have taken off in the u.k. even though they’ve not really broken through in the states (unless you count gay channel logo among mainstream media).

i know her whole big-is-beautiful schtick is supposed to be empowering, but couldn’t she remain liberated in a dress or a lovely pantsuit? i’m not trying to be insensitive! i don’t want to see anyone else’s double d’s, either.

more power to her, i suppose. i would never have the courage to do anything like this.

there’s no turning back now, so beth better get ready to field some offers. you know hustler is going to come calling! yikes, methinks a view of this from the front could cause permanent damage.
