here’s the new clip for dannii minogue’s “touch me like that.” the jason nevins collaboration is probably the gayest disco anthem i’ve heard in a while, and despite my better judgment i actually like the song.
whoever came up the video’s concept, however, should be punished. her costume is tacky and the set is uninspired. she obviously doesn’t have the same budget as her sister!
i meant to write about this monstrosity the other day, but somehow it slipped through the cracks.
so here’s jennifer connelly at the premiere to her new flick reservation road. it’s probably another snoozer, so jen tried to liven things up with this blinding dress and equally hideous heels. god bless her!
i don’t know what to say really. the pattern, the stitching, the puffy shoulders. my lord! would anyone look good in that? gwen stefani wouldn’t go near it. even bai ling would think twice before trying it on.
on another note, jennifer needs to eat something. she’s looking hungry, which might explain her lapse in judgement. i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again: a skinny bitch is a confused bitch!!
i’m not really a harry potter nerd, but i thought the latest revelation from author j.k. rowling would be of interest to queer fans of the outrageously successful series. (i know you’re out there!)
apparently harry potter’s hogwarts headmaster, albus dumbledore, is a dicksucker. according to rowling, he was head-over-heels in love with another powerful man wizard, gellert grindewald — though unfortunately they never crossed wands in the way that dumbledore really wanted.
the fact that grindewald was evil likely had something to do with this, though it didn’t help that he didn’t play for dumbledore’s team. poor gay wizard. ain’t that a bitch?
i’ve never really big a huge fan of boy bands. not that i felt it was too gay for me — i saw the spice girls live in concert, for god’s sake — they just never put out songs that tickled my fancy. yes, i did enjoy a few of *n sync’s later singles (“pop” is amazing!!), but other than that i never understood the craze.
then take that, minus original member robbie williams, made a comeback in their native britain. the only song america ever heard from them was way back in 1996. “back for good” was released shortly before robbie ditched the group and went solo. after nearly a decade of the others trying it alone (with minimal success), they reunited and completely exploded. for the second time.
anyway, i’m only slightly ashamed, because their new tunes are actually pretty good. i guess there will always be a stigma attached to “boy bands,” at least for our generation. thank you, backstreet boys.
so here’s take that’s latest video, “rule the world,” which appeared over the closing credits of stardust (that michelle pfeiffer fantasy flick that sort of fizzled at the box office this past summer). the clip isn’t that exciting, but it’s very catchy and if you haven’t heard these guys in a while, it’ll give you a good idea as to what they’ve been up to. as an added bonus i’ve also included last year’s “shine,” my personal favorite, after the jump.
what do we have here? i can hardly believe it, but it’s lily allen looking absolutely amazing. she ditched the empire waist for a figure-hugging number at a recent fashion rocks afterparty in london. it’s not that lily was a big girl before, but now she is in very good shape. watch out winehouse!
