If anything can get you going on a sluggish, overcast Monday, surely it’s a shirtless Mikey Furey in bondage gear. I apologize for neglecting to post this video sooner, it must have gotten lost in the holiday madness.
“I Want It All” continues to impress me; I daresay it’s the band’s best single to date. Hopefully it gets the attention of a wider audience…
Via arjanwrites.com, here’s the new single by hot electropop duo Dangerous Muse, “I Want It All.” It only took me two listens to completely give in to the Bloodshy & Avant-produced track. It’s a sexy, slick single that should bring the group a lot of attention. Let’s hope there is an eye-popping video and several attention-grabbing remixes in the works, because the band is back with a vengeance!
I must admit that I wasn’t sure the guys would be able to live up to the initial hype after such a long hiatus. It’s been 4 years since “The Rejection” was released and more than 3 years since Tom & Mike appeared on the cover of The Advocate. They may have lost a bit of steam since then, but this club-friendly song has major crossover appeal and I’ve got high hopes. I bet another glossy, skin-baring magazine spread would remind forgetful fans why everyone was so giddy about them in the first place…
more than a year ago, dangerous muse was tipped as the next big thing by the advocate. after moderate success with first single “the rejection” on indie label cordless recordings, the handsome duo was signed by sire records (both are owned by warner music).
after a lengthy delay, last month saw the release of a remix cd for lead single “give me danger,” which has been moving up billboard’s club play chart (it currently sits at no. 25). there is also a video in the works for the track, though unfortunately no more information was available on myspace or their official website, which is currently under reconstruction. stay tuned.
finally, dangerous muse have released the video for their debut single, “the rejection.” i’ve been waiting for this for months! yes, it’s the video of the week, but i must admit i was a bit disappointed with the so-so visual accompaniment of a fab track. it could have been SO much better! i know they are on an indie label, but they could have made a bigger effort to make it not look so… low-budget. oh well! this track – and these boys – are still super hot.
when can we expect the full-length album?? we’re gagging for it!
…there are some new boys in town – meet dangerous muse. they’re super-hot and their tunes are surprisingly well executed. and if the scissor sisters don’t watch out, they could just snatch the queer-band crowns off their heads.
if you regularly peruse any other gay/gay-friendly blogs, chances are you’ve already heard about the openly gay duo. i don’t usually like to rehash something that everyone else has already commented on, but for some reason i couldn’t pass this up. also, it’s quite impressive that the band has thus far only released a single (for a track titled “the rejection”) yet they scored the cover of the advocate’s april music issue. yes, these guys are ones to watch – and by the looks of them i’m sure we’ll all enjoy doing just that.
dangerous muse is currently in new york completing their forthcoming long player. stay tuned for their video debut…
