so what’s the verdict? thanks to mo’nique, this shit is bananas! not only does my favorite big girl bring it, the class-free flavor of love girls are also at their best. and by that i mean they’re mostly behaving badly, making the show that much better.

otherwise, it’s good to see my girl again, the hysterical, misunderstood becky buckwild. and as always the wided-eyed, bat-shit-crazy schatar (”hottie”) is in rare form. this is going to be good!

not only does anthony hamilton’s new track, “sista big bones,” sing the praises of an ample woman - the accompanying clip features mo’nique! pretty much anything with my favorite queen of comedy is worth a look…. so of course that’s enough to make it the ¡viva la graham! video of the week. even though she doesn’t get any lines of dialogue, she still cracks me up!!

the song’s chorus goes like this: “sista big bones / can a brother walk you home / look like a plate of neckbones / i’d like to keep yo’ body warm.” that’s very nice and all, but i’m sure a little guy like hamilton would be the one kept warm by his big girl.

from this clip montage, it doesn’t look like mo’nique got along with the other women too well - especially barbara walters. notice the way she keeps calling barbara “sugar” - with just a hint of disdain.

with a guest host, you’d think the regulars might ease up. but hell no! whenever mo’nique opens her mouth, the other bitches make a catty comment or stare, shocked. i can’t say i’m a star jones fan, but after watching this, i can (almost) understand why she went crazy. i definitely couldn’t put up with that shit! poor mo’nique… if she hadn’t been on live national television she would have kicked some ass. according to the view’s web site, mo’nique will be back again friday.

while we’re on the subject, i must mention that kathy griffin was on today! after claiming in her stand-up act that barbara had banned her, i was suprised. of course ms. walters had to bring this up…

i think i can speak for most gay men when i say that we love us some black women. it could be their sass, their style, or the way they carry themselves. i’m not too sure… but often the feeling is mutual.

as for me, well, i’ve got a special place in my heart for those who are living large and in charge. my favorite famous big girl would have to be the lovely and talented mo’nique (sorry queen latifah!).

she was the funniest comic in the queens of comedy (if you haven’t seen it, what are you waiting for!?!), and she even managed to bring a bit of spice to network television with her sitcom the parkers. her new flick, phat girlz, opens nationwide april 7, and i think it’s going to be hysterical. even if it’s bad, it’ll be better than b.a.p.s.
