anyway… i’ve got good news. much to my surprise, when visiting nme online last night, i came across the new peaches album, impeach my bush, ready for consumption in streaming audio! i could hardly contain myself, as the album isn’t out till next week (though it’s not hard to find on any file-sharing network*).

this time around, peaches serves up the usual - sex and lots of it, over plenty of hot beats and the occasional simple guitar riff. also, as usual, when it was over i was begging for more!

first single “downtown” is a euphoric slice of electroclash, and i couldn’t resist “tent in your pants” and “slippery dick” (and not just for their brash titles). another standout is “two guys,” in which peaches voices a common desire among women- watching a pair of dudes go at it. here’s a sampling of lyrics:

“just one thing i can’t compromise / i wanna see you work it guy on guy / i wanna see you boys get down with each other / i wanna see you do your little nasty brother… once you boys get started you’ll be at it for hours / come on boys i know you’re not that coward / just remember, an ass is an ass / so roll on over, have yourselves a blast”

it gets even more explicit, but i’ll let you seach it out if you’re curious. all i will say is that i will never think of marmalade the same way again. peaches, i love you!

*for the record, i encourage buying music, especially when it comes to less mainstream stuff like ms. peaches!

in this video, peaches and iggy pop do their thing with a handful of zombies around… it’s not extremely well executed for a monster movie parody, but i still love the song! so i present to you “kick it,” the video of the week.

hopefully this will hold us over till the next peaches album, ‘cos i’m getting antsy! and damn, iggy pop is getting old. but i’d still let him touch me inappropriately.

how do you follow up an album called fatherfucker? if you’re peaches, you call it impeach my bush. while dissing dubya is definitely in vogue these days (and this time i’m actually part of the majority!), i highly doubt peaches will take the high road. remember, this is the woman who encouraged us to “fuck the pain away.”

bush is set to drop this summer - july to be exact - and while the first single has not yet been chosen, we can be sure that the album will include its’ fair share of queer-friendly raunch-anthems. don’t believe me? the tracklisting includes “two guys (for every girl),” “tent in your pants,” and “boys wanna be her.”
